PRIVACY POLICY

Pomerium Pty Ltd (“us”, “we” or “our”) and our subsidiary Sheffield-Babcock Productions Pty Ltd and affiliates use, collect, store and disclose information supplied to us in connection with The Nanny Exhibit and our products and services, whether that be through attendance at the Exhibition, interacting on our website, or through any contact you make with us by phone, in person, or over email.

Good information privacy practices are important to us. This policy details how we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the “Act”) and the Australian Privacy Principles (“APPs”).

1. What is personal information?

‘Personal information’ is information or opinion (in recorded form or otherwise) about an identified, or reasonably identifiable, individual. This includes your name, your date of birth and your contact details, and may also include information about your dealings with us.

‘Sensitive information’ is a sub-set of personal information, and includes information or opinions about your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, memberships, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, health or criminal record.

2. How we collect your personal information

We collect your personal information directly from you when you engage with us.

We may also collect personal information from third parties including our contractors and business partners, advertisers, mailing lists, recruitment agencies and government entities.

We may collect your personal information through various interactions you have with us, including for example:

  1. When you purchase a ticket from us through our website;
  2. When you contact us in person, by phone or email;
  3. When you participate in one of our surveys, marketing campaigns, competitions or promotions;
  4. From ticketing agencies who we engage to act as our ticketing agent;
  5. From third party contractors who we engage to assist us with the Exhibition;
  6. When you fill in a form including any form relating to a promotion of competition or if you subscribe to any mailing list;
  7. When you register for any other event or activity with us; or
  8. When we record or photograph you at the Exhibition or any event we host.

We usually collect and hold your name, address, date of birth, contact information, gender and credit card details.

It is your choice to provide information to us. Wherever it is lawful and practicable, you have the option not to identify yourself when interacting with us. Please be aware that it is necessary for us to collect your personal information to enable us to issue your Exhibition ticket and otherwise engage with you including where you wish to purchase merchandise. As such, if you do not wish to provide your personal information, we may not be able to provide the services to you .

We only collect, use or disclose sensitive information about you if it is reasonably necessary for us to do so in order to perform our functions and if you have consented to us doing so, or if the law allows us to do so without that consent.

3. Our purposes for handling your personal information

We collect, hold, use or disclose personal information:

  • To communicate with you about the Exhibition, your tickets, any merchandise you have purchased or any related services that we provide;
  • To contact you with information which we think you may find interesting, only where you have opted in to receiving such communication and until you withdraw such consents;
  • Where we are otherwise required or authorised to do so by law; and
  • Otherwise, to run our business.

4. Disclosures

We may disclose personal information:

  • To our related entities and any other entities that assist us to manage our website or otherwise operate the Exhibition (for example, our ticketing agent);
  • To third party service providers, agents and contractors such as imaging firms, marketing firms and couriers;
  • To event organisers, venue operators and promoters if they need this information to fulfil or administer your booking;
  • To ticketing agencies that we engage;
  • To our professional advisers and insurers;
  • To regulators, government agencies, and law enforcement agencies or as otherwise required or authorised by law; and
  • To others where you have provided your consent for us to do so.

We disclose personal information overseas to the United States of America, New Zealand and Germany when supplying ticketing services and managing your data for marketing communications.

If we do disclose your information we ensure that the recipient is bound by an obligation of confidentiality, where it is lawful and appropriate to do so.

5. Marketing

We may send communications to you. You may opt out at any time if you no longer wish to receive our marketing information. You can make this request by using the contact details provided below, or by ‘unsubscribing’ from our email marketing messages.

We do not disclose your personal information (including your email address) to any third party for the purpose of allowing them to market their products or services to you.

6. Data quality

The accuracy of your personal information is important to us. We seek to ensure that the personal information we collect, use and disclose is accurate, complete and up-to-date and, in the case of use or disclosure, relevant.

7. Data security

We hold your personal information in electronic format and we take stringent measures to protect that information from misuse, interference and loss and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

When we no longer require your personal information, it is securely destroyed and/or deleted from our systems.

8. Access

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you at any time, by using our contact details below. We will promptly acknowledge your request for access and let you know when we will provide you with the requested information. If we refuse access, we will provide you with a written notice which sets out (unless the law allows us not to specify a reason) the reasons for the refusal and how you can complain about our refusal. We may recover our reasonable costs for giving access to your personal information.

9. Correction

We seek to ensure that the personal information we hold is accurate, up-to-date, complete and, in the case of use and disclosure, relevant.

Where we believe that the information we hold is inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading, we will take reasonable steps to correct that information.

We usually respond in writing within 30 days, unless we need further information to respond to your enquiry, concern or complaint.
